What is this used for?

StarBlends have a nice matte finish to them, and they can be layered to create a really solid base, or used gently for a more translucent look. StarBlends are best used dry, and recommended for bases versus linework. This products is used a lot on kids that have sensitivities to wet sponges or brushes on their skin. Add touches of shimmer with colors from the Ben Nye's Lumiere palette or sprinkles of Precious Gem Powders on top of your StarBlend bases.
How do I use this correctly?
To use StarBlend Powders for dry application, gently swipe a smoothie blender, fine pore sponge, or face painting brush across the surface of the powder and apply directly to the skin. This method allows for smooth, even coverage and works especially well for base work. Make sure to tap off any excess powder from your tool before applying it to prevent fallout on the face or surrounding areas. Do not inhale powder when applying it. For wet application, lightly dampen your brush or sponge with water, then work the product until it reaches a creamy consistency before applying to the skin. Please note that StarBlends are not ideal for detailed line work when used wet. Additionally, frequent wet use may make it more difficult to return to dry application in the future. For best results, apply StarBlends over a thin coat of water-based makeup or a lotion or makeup primer. This helps even out the skin texture and the powder adheres more effectively and enhances overall coverage and vibrancy.
Shades of red, yellow, and orange are not recommended for use around the eye area. Shades of blue and green are not recommended for use on the lips. Since all cosmetic products have the possibility of causing a reaction, especially for those with sensitive skin, Mehron recommends doing a patch test, and advises you to discontinue use if skin irritation occurs.
To remove it, first add liquid soap to your skin (be careful around the eyes and mouth). Work the soap into the makeup until you have loosened all of the pigment, and then use a soft sponge or cloth with water to remove the soap and powder. Do not use water before the soap, or you will have a harder time removing the powders. If, by chance, any powder is left, apply some lotion or skin-safe oil to the area and let it set for a few minutes and then wash again.
You can also use makeup removers like Jest Paint Brush and Body Wash, or an oil based product to break down and wipe away this face paint.
Never go to bed without removing your makeup. This powder is hard to remove from fabrics.
To store your StarBlend Powders, take special care transporting your powders to events, and when loading them onto your applicators. Avoid dropping or applying excessive pressure to the surface of the cake to prevent cracking or breakage. StarBlends are more fragile because they are powder based. Store in a cool dry place.
Tips: Store your StarBlend Powders in their original box or in a sealed plastic bag. This will help prevent the lid from unscrewing if jostled in your kit. You do not want to have an accidental powder explosion, trust me.

The label says that it contains 56 grams of powder. This is a powder pigment that can be set with Mehron Setting Spray to make it smudge proof and more opaque. It is more difficult to achieve linework because of the thick, pasty consistency. You can use regular water based face paint, like Paradise to do linework on top of your Starblend bases. If used dry, apply on top of a primer, or a well moisturized skin to get a more opaque look. You can also build up layers by gently rubbing the StarBlends into the skin in a circular motion.
