What is this used for?

is a vibrant green glitter cream with a blueish tint, featuring small, fine opaque plastic glitters and a subtle light green duo-chrome effect throughout. You can add tons of color and sparkle to your designs with just a swipe of Superstar Glitter Cream. They are perfect for rainbow glitter freckles as a fast option for your Glitter Bar. Many artists are using Glitter Creams to dress up their airbrush tattoo designs as well. Unlike water based glitter gels, Superstar Glitter Creams can carefully be placed on top of water based or alcohol based makeup and face paint with a lower chance of smudging it. Please note that these are not intended for use in the eye area or on lips. Only use on people who are old enough to follow directions not to rub the glitter that is on their face into their eyes.

How do I use this correctly?

To use Superstar Chunky Glitter Creams easily sticks to the skin. These sparkly glitter creams can be applied to the skin or dry face paint by using a silicon applicator or plastic spatula. Scrape a small amount from the top of the jar using the spatula and gently press the glitter on to the skin and slowly spread it in the direction you want it to go. Make sure all of the glitter is pressed flat against the skin, otherwise it will fall off. Keep away from the eyes. Do not use directly on oil based or cream based makeup since the formula can break down that type of makeup.

To remove it, the most eco friendly way to remove glitter cream is to lift the glitter off with a firm object like a business card, and throw the glitter in the garbage. You can also wipe it off with a soapy paper towel and throw that away. Avoid rinsing any type of glitter down the drain. Never go to sleep with Glitter Cream on to avoid it getting in your eyes.

To store your Glitter Creams, make sure that they are clean and dry. Put the lids back on and store them in a cool and dry place away from direct light sources.

Tips: make sure to leave the lids on when not actively using them to avoid debris from falling into the cream.

What are the characteristics / dimensions of this ?

This is 1 3/8" in diameter and about 1" tall.  Superstar Glitter Cream is packed in a small screw cap clear jar with an average weight of 10gr (.35oz). Weights may vary depending on the density of different glitters.

Some pro advice from the Jest Paint team to help you better understand how to use your Glitter Creams: Superstar Glitter Cream is designed to be stable in hot, cold, humid or dry weather conditions, but it may soften in extreme heat or harden if left in freezing conditions. Let the cream return to room temperature before using. To be on the safe side, store at room temperature and always store your containers up-right during the warm months. It could leak out of the container if it melts and is not sealed tightly and isn't facing up. Glitter Creams will not dry out, but if you find the top layer hard to scrape off over time due to settling of the base, scrape off a fine layer of glitter and the rest should be soft underneath. 

Pro Tips : Make sure glitter is not in the threading where you screw on the lid because this can cause the container base or lid to break over time. Use within 12 months of opening.

This is not tested on animals, and is gluten-free (though not certified), perfume-free, and paraben-free. Being a gluten, paben and perfume-free product makes it less likely to cause an allergic reaction.

Glitter sits in what some might consider a regulatory gray area. The FDA. U.S. law only allows color additives that are specifically listed in FDA regulations, and glitter is not on that list. Because most glitter is made from PET plastic with metallic or pigment coatings, it counts as a “composite pigment,” which would need its own FDA approval — but it has not been approved as of the moment this was written. Some industry sources say the FDA has informally allowed products containing glitter to enter the U.S. while it reviews submitted data. This is often described as the FDA using “enforcement discretion,” meaning the agency is choosing not to actively enforce the rules for now — not that it has issued any official permit or authorization. There is no official FDA statement to that matter, but industry experience shows that FDA has been continue to clear glitter containing products for entrance into the USA without any issues as of right now. In the EU, Regulation (EU) 2023/2055 (Entry 78 of Annex XVII to REACH) applies to solid, organic, insoluble, non-biodegradable polymer particles — a definition that covers most conventional plastic glitter. This regulation establishes several deadlines depending on the specific product that contains glitter. For Make-up (like the glitter creams): the transition period is until October 17th 2035, with mandatory special labeling from October 17th 2031 until October 16th 2035 if they still contain microplastics. Some “biodegradable” glitters are allowed only if they meet the strict legal definition, but the glitter used on these products is not biodegradable, it is polyester based. We have not found evidence of specific regulations in Canada and the UK.

Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET), is a strong, non-toxic, thin, flexible plastic material that is hexagon cut. It is resistant to solvents, heat and moisture which makes it a perfect material to make glitter. PET can be transparent or semi-crystalline. This glitter consists of a PET film core, a reflective layer, and a transparent polymer coating that seals the glitter and contains color dyes to give the glitter it's unique look. Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, which enhances the creams' softness, consistency, and flow, ensuring effortless application.

Cera Alba (Beeswax), is a natural wax that is used in all types of cosmetics and is known for its superior performance. It is a thickener for the balm, is anti microbial and rich in Vitamin A. It creates a water resistant sheild and gently softens skin.

Tocopherol, is a natural plant-derived vegan-friendly oil. It is concidered an antioxidant as it neutralizes free radicals in the body to prevent cellular damage. It is commonly used in skin care products and as a natural preservative that prevents oils from going rancid, and it also hs moisturizing, anti-inflammatory and UV-Protection properties.

Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, enhances the creams' softness, consistency, and flow, ensuring effortless application while also soothing, softening and hyrdrating the skin. Due to the Vitamin E, it is also an antioxidant.
