What is Mehron Ad Gem Washable Glue best for?
Mehron is a liquid adhesive glue that is safe for the skin. Ad Gem is a Latex-free and Vegan. This set comes with a baggy of approximately 30 rhinestone gems or varying sizes.
This body glue is specially formulated to adhere lashes, glitter and gems to the skin, making it ideal for creating mesmerizing glitter tattoos. It's popular for festivals, parties, and any event where you want to add some sparkle to your skin.
Though Mehron says that Ad Gem is Water Resistant, this glue is not as strong as the Pros-Aide style glues that we sell for Glitter Tattoos. It may break down with a lot of sweating or water exposure.
The precise applicator tip allows for precise placement of glue. Once the glue has been applied in a thin layer and allowed to dry a little, the glitter, gems or prosthetics grabs onto the glue on the skin.
The duration of the glue will depend on the area of the body that you apply, the persons skin type, weather and water exposure, and skin care before and after applying.
How to apply and remove Ad Gem Glue?
Apply Mehron Ad Gem in a thin even layer on clean dry skin. For best results, use an alcohol wipe to clean the skin before applying the glue. You can use a wooden nail art stick, paint brush or lip gloss style applicator to apply the glue. Wait for the glue to turn clear before applying glitter or gems. You can add a second layer for extra hold.
For a strong hold and to avoid a mess, it is essential to let it get clear and tacky. For small prosthetics, apply glue on the skin and on the prosthetic in a thin layer. Once the glue is clear you can apply a second layer for extra staying power and once that is dry, press the prosthetic to the skin firmly to bond the layers of glue.
To increase the duration of this Body Glue on the skin, avoid sun tan lotions, body oils, creams or alcohol based products. Do not pick or rub the design, and wash gently around the tattoo with hand soap. Avoid rubbing soap into the glue.
Please note: Ad Gem is not as strong as our other body glues designed for Glitter Tattoos. This product washes off with warm water and soap, while glitter tattoo is more water resistant and hard to remove. The duration for small prosthetic varies based on the location, size and weight of the prosthetic. You can also remove this with isopropyl alcohol, isopropyl myristate or oil, like baby oil.
While the wet adhesive is water-based and can be cleaned with water, once it dries, its water-based nature is replaced by its ability to create water-resistant adhesion to skin surfaces.
How to store Mehron Adgem Body Glue?
Keep Ad Gem Glue in a cool dry environment away from direct sunlight. Do not allow this body glue to freeze. If it freezes it will become a solid and cannot be used. Use within 12 months of opening.

¿Para qué es mejor Mehron Washable Body Glue - Ad Gem?
Mehron es un adhesivo líquido seguro para la piel. Ad Gem no contiene látex y es vegano. ¿Cómo aplicar, retirar y conservar Ad Gem?
Aplique Ad Gem en una capa fina y uniforme sobre la piel limpia y seca. Para obtener mejores resultados, limpie la piel con una toallita con alcohol antes de aplicar el adhesivo. Puede usar un pincel o un aplicador de brillo labial para aplicar el adhesivo. Espere a que el adhesivo se aclare antes de aplicar brillantina o gemas. Es fundamental dejar que se aclare y se vuelva pegajoso primero. Para prótesis, aplique el adhesivo sobre la piel y sobre la prótesis en una o dos capas finas. Una vez que el adhesivo se aclare, presione la prótesis firmemente contra la piel para unir las dos capas de adhesivo.
Para aumentar la duración de Ad Gem en la piel, evite bronceadores, aceites corporales, cremas o productos con alcohol. No toque ni frote el diseño y lave suavemente la zona alrededor del tatuaje con jabón de manos. Evite frotar el jabón con el adhesivo.
Puedes remover este adhesivo con alcohol isopropílico o aceite. No es fácil retirar este producto el mismo día de la aplicación, así que úselo solo para proyectos a largo plazo. Para los tatuajes con brillantina, me gusta aplicar aceite al diseño y luego colocar un paño húmedo con agua tibia sobre la piel para ablandar el adhesivo. Lo dejo reposar unos minutos antes de retirar la brillantina. Si bien el adhesivo húmedo es a base de agua y se puede limpiar con agua, una vez seco, su naturaleza acuosa se ve reemplazada por su capacidad de crear una adhesión impermeable a las superficies de la piel.
¿Qué más debo saber sobre Ad Gem?
