What is this used for?
is perfect for creating a one stroke or solid color palette for your personal kit! The long skinny cakes are designed especially for use with 3/4" or narrower flat, angle or filbert brushes. Painters often find that they don't use up the paint on the sides of their wider cakes, or can't load all of the colors at once with their 3/4" or 5/8" brushes. These thin cakes allow you to get all of the colors and limit waste!
How do I use this correctly?
To use use the GTX spatula blade to carefully slice rectangular wedges of paint. You can use the transfer container as a guide to know how long to cut your strips. Once you have planned out your cake and cut the first strip, place it in the container at the edge and move along cutting more strips and placing them side by side.
Remember that darker strips might not need to be as thick, and lighter colors will pop more if you make them thicker. Also, don't forget that some colors just don't look that great blended together. If you really want them in the cake together, like green and purple for example, but a thin strip of white or blue between them.
Take care when cutting your own cakes with a sharp tools. You should wear gloves to keep things sanitary, and take all normal precautions to keep your paints clean while you craft. Children should only make rainbow cakes with adult supervision.

To clean, wash the case and lid with dish soap and water. Remove all of the pots to do a deep clean. You can use a nail brush or toothbrush to clean in the grooves.
To store your face paints in this palette, make sure that they are cleaned off and dry. Once they are fully dry simply the lid and store your palette in a cool and dry place away from direct light sources. The clear lid and hinges are fragile, so make sure to store this in your kit carefully.

What are the characteristics / dimensions of this ?
The dimensions of the GTX 1 Stroke style box are about 10 in. long x 3 3/16 in. wide x 15/16 in. thick. The individual black pots are 5/8 inches tall with the clear lid on. Without the clear lid on, each pot is about 1/2 in. tall and 2 5/16 in. long, and about 7/8 in. wide.
The inside of the pots, are 3/8 in. deep, 2 1/4 in. long, and 13/16 in. wide (at the widest part).
Some pro advice The GTX box has a clear hinged lid with the GTX Logo. The lid and hinges are somewhat fragile so store and use with care.

The long thinner strokes are becoming more and more popular in the face painting world. Traditional 1 stroke size cakes are about 1" wide, and most painters don't use 1" wide brushes do to their large size making them less versatile for small designs. Each individual pot has it's own lid, so if you want you can use them without the case. These palettes are similar in size to the Fusion Long Candy Palette and the Tag Long One Stroke Palette. The Fusion and GTX pots are slightly taller than those in the TAG palette. The pots may not be interchangeable due to slight variations in manufacturing.
Is this safe storing cosmetics?
This is made of two types of plastics that are commonly used to store cosmetic products. It has a PS (Polystyrene) lid and ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) Black Base. These plastic materials are inert when in contact with the face water based face paint ingredients, and will not leach into the makeup when activated with water.
GTX SFX paints are made for cutting up and creating your own paint rainbow cake combos. GTX was designed to have more glycerin in the formula than you would find in many typical face paints, making it soft and pliable. Over time the paints may firm up, so it is best to craft all of your cakes as soon as you can while they are fresh and extra soft, and to store the paints with the lids on tightly. Some colors may be a little softer or drier, depending on the pigments used, but with a little effort you can use them all to create fantastic split cakes from your own imagination!
What are the main materials in this ?
The main materials in this are Polystyrene and Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene plastics.
PS (Polystyrene) is a very durable plastic that is easy to mold, which makes it perfect for these custom cases.
ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is a clear and shiny plastic used for cosmetic packaging. It can also crack if banged around or dropped, so take good care of your palette to avoid any damage to it.
