What is this used for?

You can use this Neon Green face paint for your next Halloween costume, birthday party, fundraiser, carnival, corporate event, or just for fun at home. Diamond FX Neon Green glows brilliantly under black light and creates a bold day-glo effect in regular lighting. Wear it on its own for a vibrant statement, pair it with standard greens to make them stand out, or blend it with other neon shades for eye-catching designs. How do I use this correctly?

To use , add water to your brush or sponge and then load the paint onto your tool, rather than spraying the paints with water. Sweep your sponge or brush across the cake until you have created a light, creamy paste. You want the paint to be fully loaded, but not drippy. Sponging on will give you the smoothest base. In general, neon paints are more transparent than regular colors, so you may need a few layers to get a solid coverage.

To remove, first add liquid soap to the painted area. Work the soap into the paint until you have loosened all of the pigment, and then use a soft sponge or cloth with water to remove the soap and paint. Do not use water before the soap, or you will have a harder time removing the paint.

To store your Diamond FX paints make sure that they are dry. Once they are fully dry, put the lids back on and store them in a cool and dry place away from direct light sources.

Tips: make sure to never leave your wax based paints inside a hot car, under the sun or by a window; this can melt them and it may be hard or impossible to get them back to their normal consistency.

What are the characteristics / dimensions of this ?

This is labeled as a 30 grams. The container is 2 14/16 inches in diameter and 9/16 inches tall.

*NEW CONTAINER with wider plastic rim and thicke cake! The moving gif in hand is of the older container style. The main Image and still image in hand are of new container. The new Diamond FX containers were designed to limit evaporation of water after manufacturing. The thicker cakes have the same amount of paint as the old containers.

The container is clear with a screw-on lid, and is made of plastic. DFX paint is resistant to low-level friction and some moisture, but it is not water-proof, and if rubbed with enough strength it will smear or transfer. This color is neon, see more info below regarding the SFX warning. Diamond FX neon colors come as a solid cake that is activated with water. When dry, it will appear matte with a strong day-glo effect under regular lighting, and will glow under neon and black light. The shelf life is 18 months from opening. It is made in Vietnam under the direction of Diamond FX Face Art, a professional makeup and SFX company based in the Netherlands.

Some pro advice from the Jest Paint team to help you better understand your paints: because they are made with some natural ingredients, it’s normal for these paints—regardless of brand or base—to respond to their environment. You may notice cracks, slight shrinkage that can cause the paint to lift from its container, or some ingredient separation that appears as a small amount of liquid on the surface or edges of the cake. These natural characteristics do not affect performance. Simply adding a bit of water while activating the paint with your sponge or brush, gradually smooths cracks, and reincorporates separated ingredients for perfect application. If the paint has lifted from the container, a few drops of water at the bottom of the cake and gentle pressure against the container will usually restore it.

Also, because these paints are made with a variety of pigments and produced under different environmental conditions, it’s natural for their consistency to vary slightly between colors and batches. Some paints may feel firmer, softer, or more clay-like depending on the specific batch and color. This is completely normal and part of the unique character of professional face paints.

Keep in mind that most brands design their products to perform best when used directly from their original containers. Since they aren’t intended to be re-potted or cut into, manufacturers can’t ensure a specific texture for that purpose. When stored properly and used as intended, your paints should perform beautifully and deliver the vibrant results you expect every time.

This , and all Diamond FX UV/Neon colors are made with pigments that have not been approved by the USA Cosmetic Regulator to be used in cosmetics (the agency has not tested them for cosmetic use yet). According to the manufacturer they have been independently tested and determined safe for cosmetic use by independent labs. Following the USA / EU regulator's guidelines, they are labeled as a Special FX Product - Not a Cosmetic Product. For hair and Special effects only. This applies ONLY to the UV/Neon pigments in this product and not to the rest of the pigments of Essential and Metallic Colors, ONLY in the USA and some parts of Europe. Please check with your country and insurance company to see if you want to use these paints as a cosmetic.

According to the manufacturer, Diamond FX paints are vegan and cruelty-free. They do not contain nut-derived ingredients and are made with non-toxic components. The formula is free of parabens and lanolin to help minimize the risk of allergic reactions. A patch test is recommended prior to use, and use should be discontinued if any irritation or rash occurs.

What are the main ingredients or materials in this ?

The main ingredients or materials in this are Paraffin Wax, Petrolatum, and Glycerin.

Paraffin Wax in paints helps to give the product structure, firmness, and a smooth glide. It stabilizes the cake so it doesn’t crumble as easily, improves water resistance (but it does not make it water proof), and allows the pigment to transfer cleanly onto the skin. It also adds a slightly occlusive finish that helps the design last longer.

Petrolatum softens and plasticizes the wax, making it easier to pick up. It also helps to increase the creaminess of the paint, gives it a smooth and bendable texture, and helps prevent the paint from becoming brittle.

Glycerin adds a slightly gel like glide to the paint, makes it smoother, more water-activated, easier to blend, helps pigment disperse evenly, and slightly softens the wax. It also adds a moist feel to the paint rather than oily one. Because glycerin is hydrophilic (water-loving), it helps the paint interact better with the moisture on a damp brush/sponge.

¿Cómo uso correctamente este ?

Para usar agrega agua a tu brocha (pincel) o esponja y luego carga la pintura en tu herramienta, en lugar de rociar las pinturas con agua. Pasa tu esponja o brocha sobre la pastilla hasta crear una pasta ligera y cremosa. La pintura debe estar bien cargada, pero no chorreante. Aplicar con esponja te dará la base más uniforme. En general, los colores neón son más transparentes que los colores regulares, por lo que puede que necesites aplicar varias capas para lograr una cobertura sólida.

Para removerla, primero aplica jabón líquido sobre tu rostro o área pintada. También añade un acabado ligeramente oclusivo que ayuda a que el diseño dure más tiempo.

El petrolato suaviza y plastifica la cera, lo que la hace más fácil de cargar. También ayuda a aumentar la cremosidad de la pintura, le da una textura suave y flexible, y evita que la pintura se vuelva quebradiza.

La glicerina aporta un deslizamiento ligeramente gelatinoso a la pintura, la hace más suave, más fácil de activar con agua y más fácil de difuminar, ayuda a que los pigmentos se dispersen de manera uniforme y suaviza ligeramente la cera. También añade una sensación húmeda a la pintura en lugar de una sensación aceitosa.
