In April 2025 Final Seal released a new formula that gives it more durability. They changed the Ph stabilizing ingredient by adding Sodium Hydroxide.

Final Seal has a small change to the pH stabilizing ingredient with the addition of Sodium Hydroxide. Testing has shown that its ability to durably set makeup is as strong as ever. This new long lasting formula now has less sheen once it is dry.
