How do I use this correctly?

To use , add water to your brush or sponge and then load the paint onto your tool. This is preferred rather than spraying the paints with water which may muddy all of the colors together and add too much water to your split cake. Sweep your sponge or brush across the split cake until you have created a light, creamy paste. You want the paint to be fully loaded, but not drippy. Pat or paint on the colors without letting them mix too much, so that each color blends into the next but doesn't lose its individual punch. You can use a flat, filbert or angle brush to pick up two or more colors in the cake for one stroke painting as well. Apply a second layer if needed.

To remove it, first add liquid soap to your painted area (be careful around the eyes and mouth). Work the soap into the paint until you have loosened all of the pigment, and then use a soft sponge or cloth with water to remove the soap and paint. Do not use water before the soap, or you will have a harder time removing the paint. If, by chance, any stains are left, apply some lotion or oil to the stained area for a few minutes and then wash again. In the very unlikely case that any stains remain after that, do not continue scrubbing, as that can cause irritation. Wait until the next day—sweat and friction with bed sheets will usually remove any leftover traces. But remember: never go to bed without removing your paint.

To store your paints make sure that they are dry. Once they are fully dry then put the lids back on and store them in a cool and dry place away from direct light sources.

Tips: make sure to never leave your paints inside a hot car, under the sun or by a window; this can melt them and ruin them.

What are the characteristics / dimensions of this ?

This is labeled as a 40-50 gram (1.4-1.7 oz) paint container. It is 2 9/16 inches in diameter and 1/2 inch tall. It comes as a split cake, containing multiple colors that are activated with water. The container is black with a clear, friction-fit lid, and is made of plastic. This SFX paint is resistant to low-level friction and some sweat, but it is not sweat-proof, and if rubbed with enough strength it will smear or transfer. This multicolored cake contains both TAG Neon and TAG Regular colors (see more information regarding the SFX warning below). When dry, the neon colors will appear matte with a strong day-glo effect under regular lighting, and will glow under neon and black light. The regular colors are matte when dry, though they can sometimes have a slight glossy look, mostly while wet. The shelf life is 18 months from opening. It is made in Taiwan under the direction of Tag Body Art, a company based in Australia. Once applied, if properly cared for and under the right weather conditions, it can easily last 3 to 12 hours.

Some pro advice from the Jest Paint team to help you better understand your paints: because they are made with some natural ingredients, it’s normal for paints—regardless of brand or base—to respond to their environment. You may notice cracks, slight shrinkage that can cause the paint to lift from its container, or some ingredient separation that appears as a small amount of liquid, crystals or waxy flakes on the surface or edges of the cake. These natural characteristics do not affect performance. Simply adding a bit of water while activating the paint with your sponge or brush, gradually smooths cracks, and reincorporates separated ingredients for perfect application. If the paint has lifted from the container, a few drops of water at the bottom of the cake and gentle pressure against the container will usually restore it.

Some paints may feel firmer, softer, or more clay-like depending on the specific batch and color. This is completely normal and part of the unique character of professional paints.

Since they aren’t intended to be re-potted or cut into, manufacturers can’t ensure a specific texture for that purpose. When stored properly and used as intended, your paints should perform beautifully and deliver the vibrant results you expect every time.

This , and all TAG UV/Neon Colors are made with pigments that have not been approved by the USA Cosmetic Regulator to be used in cosmetics (the agency has not yet tested them for cosmetic use). According to the manufacturer, they have been independently tested and determined to be safe for cosmetic use by independent labs and other government agencies in different countries. Following the regulator's guidelines, they are labeled as a Special FX Product - Prosthetic Paint (for professional use only) - Not a Cosmetic Product. Apply product to prosthetic appliances, bald caps, clothing, etc. This applies only to the UV/Neon Pigments in this product and not to the rest of the pigments, ONLY in the USA and some parts of Europe.

According to the manufacturer, TAG paints are vegan and cruelty free. They are free from nut-derived ingredients, formulated with non-toxic ingredients, and contain no paraben or lanolin to reduce the risk of allergic reaction. Patch test is recommended before use. Discontinue use if a rash develops.
