Many neon/UV products have not been tested by the USA FDA for cosmetic use, so manufacturers label them for special effects only (paper, clothing, prosthetics, etc.) to create a blacklight glow. Regulations may vary by country, so please check your local guidelines. Neon/UV paints without this warning are considered cosmetic compliant by the manufacturer. Update! Paradise's original neon formula in 2023 was made with FDA compliant  UV pigments, but do to the short supply and extreme cost increases of those FDA compliant pigments Mehron has released them as SFX paints which is a professional grade neon paint that has neon pigments that have NOT been tested by the FDA for use in cosmetics. If your box is labeled FX under the logo instead of Makeup AQ, then it will contain the new special fx pigments. We are selling all as FX on our site to avoid confusion as we sell out of the Makeup AQ and also have the new SFX being restocked.
