How do I use this correctly?

To use, apply a small amount of Natural Face Paint at a time with the provided eco brush, or you can also use a cosmetic sponge. They are a soft creamy texture, and you do not need to activate them with water. You can thin with clean water if needed. Apply in thin layers and allow the paint to fully air dry before touching it. You can set with cornstarch or setting powder for extended wear, especially if it is a hot or humid day.

To remove it, rinse off makeup with soap and water. If needed, add liquid soap to your face or painted area (be careful around the eyes and mouth). Work the soap into the paint until you have loosened all of the pigment, and then use a soft sponge or cloth with water to remove the soap and paint. If, by chance, any stains are left, apply some lotion or skin-safe oil to the stained area for a few minutes and then wash again. In the very unlikely case that any stains remain after that, do not continue scrubbing, as that can cause skin irritation. Wait until the next day—sweat and friction with bed sheets will usually remove any leftover traces. Remember: never go to bed without removing your face paint.

To store your Natural Earth face paints, put the lids back on tightly and store them in a cool and dry place away from direct light sources. Use within 12 months of opening.

Tips: keep your lids on when not in use, even while you work, to keep debris from getting into the paint and to prevent it from drying out in the jars. If the paint does dry out over time, you can activate it with a paint brush moistened in clean water.

What are the characteristics / dimensions of this ?

This contains six containers of natural face paint - Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, Black, and White and three bamboo makeup applicators. The labels show that there are 11 grams / .38oz of face paint in each jar. Jars are 1 3/8 across and 1 1/16 tall. If you do a small, simple design on the cheek of each child in a thin layer, then one 6 Color face paint kit will probably be enough for 40-50 kids. The clear jars with screw-on lids are made of recycled plastic and can by recycled as well. This face paint is resistant to low-level friction and some sweat, but it is not sweat-proof, and if rubbed with enough strength it will smear or transfer. This colors dry to a matte finish. The shelf life is 12 months after opening. Once applied, if properly cared for and under the right weather conditions, it can easily last 3 to 12 hours. This product can absorb moisture from the air if there is a a lot of humidity, and it can lose water if it is very dry out. Activate the paints with water if they get too thick firm to apply with just the brush.

This  is, according to the manufacturer, compliant with FDA makeup regulations for cosmetic use. They use certified cosmetic grade pigments for their face paints. The manufacturer claims this product to be not tested on animals, gluten-free, dairy free, (though not certified), perfume-free, and paraben-free. Natural Face Paint is free of nanoparticles, heavy metals, parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde, and petroleum-based dyes. Many ingredients are organic and or fair trade sourced.
