What is this used for?

How do I use this correctly?

To use  simply add water to your brush, wipe off access water, and then load the paint by stroking gently back and forth across the colors in the split cake. (This is a preferred method over spraying the paints with water.) Sweep your brush across the Split Cake until you have created a light creamy paste and all colors show up on the bristles. Apply the face paint to the skin in smooth strokes, letting the colors flow out without overlapping and mixing them together to much. These cakes are designed for one stroke painting. There are many tutorials online about how to paint designs using this technique. Since these pans are a little bit more than 3/4" wide, they work great with a 3/4" flat, filbert or angle brush if you want to pick up all of the colors. You can use a narrower brush, like a 1/2" flat if you just want to pick up only two or three colors. If you brush gets to muddy rinse it out and repeat the loading proceses.

To remove it, use micellar water and a cloth for quick removal. If you do not have micellar water, first add liquid soap water to your face or painted area (be careful around the eyes and mouth). Work the soap into the paint until you have loosened all of the pigment, and then use a soft sponge or cloth with water to remove the soap and paint. Rubbing in a soft circular motion works best. Do not use water before the soap, or you will have a harder time removing the face paint. If, by chance, any stains are left, apply some lotion or skin-safe oil to the stained area for a few minutes and then wash again. In the very unlikely case that any stains remain after that, do not continue scrubbing, as that can cause skin irritation. Wait until the next day—sweat and friction with bed sheets will usually remove any leftover traces. But remember: never go to bed without removing your face paint.

To store your face paints make sure that they are wiped off with a clean moist sponge and left to dry. Once they are fully dry then put the main case lid back on and store the palette in a cool and dry place away from direct light sources. You don't have to always use the small caps, they help for prolonged storage.

Tips: make sure to never leave your face paints inside a hot car, under the sun or by a window; this can melt them and ruin them.

 Each individual Party Palette color combo has 14 grams in it. There are a total of 112 grams of paint in the entire palette.

The Party Palette cake names are: Peacock Tail, Old Fashioned, Ocean Breeze, Mai Tai, Hawaiian, Pink Lady, Purple Rain, and Blue Lagoon.

The one stroke case is approximately 9" Long by 3 and 1/4" wide by 7/8" tall with the lid closed. (228mm x 82mm x 27mm)

Each 14gr one stroke container outer dimensions with lid on are a little more than 3/4" wide, 3/4" tall and about 2 1/4" long. The Facepainting Hub pans are removable if you want to hold them in your hand during loading, and it makes cleaning the palette easier at the end of a gig. 

The shelf life is 12 months, and it is made in China under the strict supervision of the Facepainting Hub, a UK Based company. Once applied, if properly cared for and under the right weather conditions, this paint can easily last 3 to 12 hours on the skin.

Some pro advice from the Jest Paint team to help you better understand your face paints: because they are made with some natural ingredients, it’s normal for face paints, regardless of brand or base, to respond to their environment. You may notice cracks, or slight shrinkage that can cause the paint to lift from its container, or some ingredient separation that appears as a small amount of liquid, crystals, or waxy flakes on the surface or edges of the cake. These natural characteristics do not affect performance. Simply adding a bit of water while activating the paint with your sponge or brush, gradually smooths cracks, and reincorporates separated ingredients for perfect application. If the paint has lifted from the container, a few drops of bottled water at the bottom of the cake and gentle pressure against the container will usually get it to stick to the base of the container again.

Also, because one stroke face paints are made with a variety of pigments and produced under different environmental conditions, it’s natural for their consistency to vary slightly between colors and batches. Some paints may feel firmer, softer, or more clay-like depending on the specific batch and color. This is completely normal and part of the unique character of professional face paints.

Keep in mind that most brands design their products to perform best when used directly from their original containers. Since they aren’t intended to be re-potted or cut into, manufacturers can’t ensure a specific texture for that purpose. When stored properly and used as intended, your paints should perform beautifully and deliver the vibrant results you expect every time.
