What is Mehron | LipStix (Lipstick Sealer) by Invisible Finish best for?
LipStix Sealer was specially created to help prevent lipstick from smudging, bleeding, or transferring. It dries clear and leaves lips feeling smooth—not sticky or tacky. According to the manufacturer, after applying this sealer your lipstick becomes: drink proof, eat proof, smudge proof, water resistant and kiss proof (Ooh la la). It isn't 100% fool proof, but it makes a huge difference if you take some care. I like to use it over face paint around the mouth area, especially if I paint skull teeth on the lips. You can also use it to preserve temporary tattoo designs. As long as you don't rub it hard, it stays put! It feels like you are applying mouthwash over the paint, you get that cool minty smell and sensation.
How do I apply and remove Mehron LipStix Sealer?
How to use: Apply your favorite lip liner and lipstick. Gently blot with a tissue to remove any excess. Slightly open your mouth and apply LipStix Sealer, then close your mouth. Allow it to dry for 30–60 seconds. Enjoy long-lasting lip color for hours. To remove, use makeup remover, then wash with soap and water.
What ingredients are in Lipstix sealer, and what are they used for in this product?
This product is cruelty free and vegan. All ingredients are FDA complaint for use in cosmetic sealers.
SD Alcohol 38B (Alcohol Denat.) – A denatured alcohol specifically approved for cosmetic use. It is commonly used in lip sealers and long-wear makeup because it helps the product dry quickly and create a transfer-resistant film.
Glycerin – A widely used cosmetic humectant that helps retain moisture and reduces the drying feel of alcohol.
Acrylates/Octylacrylamide Copolymer – A film-forming polymer used in long-wear cosmetics to help lock makeup in place and improve water and transfer resistance. Ethylcellulose – A cosmetic binder and film former that helps create a flexible coating over the lipstick. Hydroxypropylcellulose – A thickener and film former commonly used in cosmetics and pharmaceutical coatings.
CI 17200 (Red 33) – An FDA-approved color additive (D&C Red No. 33) permitted in cosmetics and approved for use on the lips, provided the color additive comes from an FDA-certified batch.
Can Mehron Lipstix be shipped overseas?
Due to the fact that this is a flamabale product, LipStix can only be shipped in the continental USA and cannot be shipped overseas including to military APO/FPO/DPO addresses. In order for your package to be shipped using air mail within the USA, the package can not be over 25lbs and it can't have more than 48 Fl Oz of Alcohol Based products. If these conditions are not met, we will contact you to arrange a different shipping method in multiple packages within the USA.
