How do I use this correctly?
To use add a small amount of water to your sponge or flat, angled, or filbert brush, and move it back and forth over the paint. This is preferred rather than spraying the paints with water which may muddy all of the colors together and add too much water to your rainbow cake. Sweep your sponge or brush across the rainbow cake until you have created a light, creamy paste. You want the paint to be fully loaded, appearing wet and shiny, but not drippy. Choose a brush size based on how many colors you want to pick up. Hold rainbow cake vertically so that any dripping paint will run down the color of the stripe, and not across the whole rainbow. Put just the tiny tip of your brush back in your water cup if you need to add more water. Make sure that your brush is lined up with the correct colors when you reload. Rinse and repeat if your colors start to get too mixed.
To remove it, first add liquid soap to your face or painted area (be careful around the eyes and mouth). Work the soap into the paint until you have loosened all of the pigment, and then use a soft sponge or cloth with water to remove the soap and paint. Do not use water before the soap, or you will have a harder time removing the face paint. If, by chance, any stains are left, apply some lotion or skin-safe oil to the stained area for a few minutes and then wash again. In the very unlikely case that any stains remain after that, do not continue scrubbing, as that can cause skin irritation. Wait until the next day—sweat and friction with bed sheets will usually remove any leftover traces. But remember: never go to bed without removing your face paint.
To store your face paints make sure that they are dry. Once they are fully dry then put the lids back on and store them in a cool and dry place away from direct light sources.
Tips: make sure to never leave your face paints inside a hot car, under the sun or by a window; this can melt them and ruin them.
What are the characteristics / dimensions of this ?
This is labeled as a 14ml (0.47 fl oz) face paint container. It is 2 1/16" long, 1 1/4" wide, and 10/16" tall. It comes as a 1 stroke, rainbow cake face paint, containing multiple colors that are activated with water. The container is white with a clear, friction-fit lid, and is made of plastic. This face paint is resistant to low-level friction and some sweat, but it is not sweat-proof, and if rubbed with enough strength it will smear or transfer. This rainbow cake face paint has both Diamond FX Essential and Metallic colors. The essential colors are matte, though they can sometimes have a slight glossy look, mostly while wet. The metallic colors will have a shimmery, pearlescent effect once dry. The shelf life is 18 months from opening. It is made in Vietnam under the supervision of Diamond FX Body Art, a company based in the Netherlands. Some pro advice from the Jest Paint team to help you better understand your face paints: because they are made with some natural ingredients, it’s normal for face paints—regardless of brand or base—to respond to their environment. You may notice cracks, slight shrinkage that can cause the paint to lift from its container, or some ingredient separation that appears as a small amount of liquid, crystals or waxy flakes on the surface or edges of the cake. These natural characteristics do not affect performance. Simply adding a bit of water while activating the paint with your sponge or brush, gradually smooths cracks, and reincorporates separated ingredients for perfect application. If the paint has lifted from the container, a few drops of water at the bottom of the cake and gentle pressure against the container will usually restore it.
Also, because split cake style face paints are made with a variety of pigments and produced under different environmental conditions, it’s natural for their consistency to vary slightly between colors and batches. Some paints may feel firmer, softer, or more clay-like depending on the specific batch and color. This is completely normal and part of the unique character of professional face paints.
Keep in mind that most brands design their products to perform best when used directly from their original containers. Since they aren’t intended to be re-potted or cut into, manufacturers can’t ensure a specific texture for that purpose. When stored properly and used as intended, your paints should perform beautifully and deliver the vibrant results you expect every time.

The manufacturer claims this product to be vegan-friendly, not tested on animals, gluten-free (though not certified), perfume-free, paraben free, hypo-allergenic, contains no products derived from nuts, and uses non-toxic pigments. Being a gluten- and perfume-free face paint makes it less likely to cause an allergic reaction when compared to similar products that often contain perfumes or animal-sourced ingredients like beeswax, lanolin, or seed oils.

The main ingredients or materials in this are Paraffin Wax, Petrolatum, and Glycerin.
Paraffin Wax in face paints helps to give the product structure, firmness, and a smooth glide. It stabilizes the cake so it doesn’t crumble as easily, improves water resistance (it does not make it water proof), and allows the pigment to transfer cleanly onto the skin. It also adds a slightly occlusive finish that helps the design last longer.
Petrolatum softens and plasticizes the wax, making it easier to pick up. It also helps to increase the creaminess of the paint, gives it a smooth and bendable texture, and helps prevent the paint from becoming brittle.
Glycerin adds a slightly gel like glide to the paint, makes it smoother, more water-activated, easier to blend, helps pigment disperse evenly, and slightly softens the wax. It also adds a moist feel to the paint rather than oily one. Because glycerin is hydrophilic (water-loving), it helps the face paint interact better with moisture on the skin or with a damp brush/sponge.
